Wet Weather Policy
At Jumping Castle Hire Sydney, we understand that unpredictable weather can affect your event. This policy explains our conditions for rain, strong winds, extreme weather, date changes and cancellations.
Planning Your Event Around the Weather
Weather conditions can change before or during your event. Customers are responsible for considering the weather forecast and ensuring that hired equipment is used safely.
Rain, wind and other extreme weather conditions do not automatically cancel a confirmed booking. All weather-related requests are handled in accordance with our Hire Policy.
We encourage customers to monitor the forecast and contact us as early as possible if they believe the weather may affect their event.
Important: This page summarises the weather-related provisions of our Hire Policy. All bookings remain subject to the applicable Hire Policy and Australian Consumer Law.
Changing Your Booking Due to Wet Weather
In the event of rainy, windy or other extreme weather conditions, customers may request a change of date up to three (3) days before their scheduled event date.
All date changes must be approved by Jumping Castle Hire Sydney in writing.
If we approve a change of date in writing, no forfeiture will apply to that approved date change.
If a mutually convenient alternative date cannot be arranged, our existing Hire Policy provides that the customer forfeits the bond and remains liable for the full hire amount, subject to applicable law.
Bookings and bonds cannot be transferred to another date without our written approval.
What Is Considered Extreme Weather?
Our Hire Policy identifies several conditions that may make it impractical for a hire to proceed, including:
Rain
Rain and wet conditions that may affect safe installation or use of the equipment.
Strong Winds
Windy conditions that may make inflatable equipment unsafe to operate.
Severe Thunderstorms
Severe thunderstorms, lightning and associated hazardous conditions.
Flooding
Flooding or water accumulation that prevents suitable access, installation or safe operation.
Fires & Other Emergencies
Fires, earthquakes and other abnormal conditions that make the hire impractical.
Other Extreme Conditions
Other abnormal circumstances identified in the Hire Policy, including epidemics and pandemics.
Requesting a Weather-Related Date Change
All requests must be made in writing. A request does not constitute approval or automatically change the booking.
